Quotes of North Sea Hijack

Admiral Brindsen: I suppose you're one of those fellows who does the Times crossword puzzle in ten minutes.
ffolkes: I have *never* taken ten minutes.

Lou Kramer: I don't like you, Flag,
ffolkes: How fortunate.
Lou Kramer: My instinct tells me you're bad news. Did you search him, Webb?
Art Webb: I could tell you the size of his underwear.

Lou Kramer: You'd better take that pussycat grin off your face or this guy's liable to carve it off.

Lord Privy Seal Dennis Tipping: You really don't like women much, do you?
ffolkes: I do not. You see, I, together with my five elder sisters, was raised by a maiden aunt. Both my parents died tragically in childbirth. Until the age of ten, I was forced to wear my sister's hand-me-downs. Then when I married, I discovered to my horror that my wife also had five sisters, all unmarried, and all expecting my support. I find cats a far superior breed. Just on the off chance, I have made a will. I've left everything to my cats. I want it testified that I am sound of body and mind. Well go on!

ffolkes: A wet suit in vermilion. Just what one needs at night.

ffolkes: Jennifer? ffolkes here. You can tell the Lord Privy Seal the operation had Full Quotes >>

Trivia of North Sea Hijack

- ffolkes is a subtle play on "007" - if you mirror the FFO, you get 077 as the European crossed 7, and the FF0 substitutes for the 007. This film was an opportunity for a comedic turn for 'Roger Moore (I)' (qv).

- Rufus Excalibur ffolkes has a black cat named Enoch. This is an obvious dig at the famous British anti-immigration politician - 'Enoch Powell' (qv).

- Famous for playing James Bond, this 'Roger Moore (I)' (qv) non-Bond action-thriller was released between his Bond movies _Moonraker (1979)_ (qv) and _For Your Eyes Only (1981)_ (qv).

- The North Sea is a central setting to this movie and it also acted as a filming location for the opening scenes of _For Your Eyes Only (1981)_ (qv) which was one of 'Roger Moore (I)' (qv)'s next movies after this.

- This movie marked the second teaming of director 'Andrew V. McLaglen' (qv) with star 'Roger Moore (I)' (qv) who had worked together on _The Wild Geese (1978)_ (qv). They would work together again on _The Sea Wolves (1980)_ (qv), their third and final movie together. Of these three films, _North Sea Hijack (1979)_ (qv) is the only one which was not a war movie.

- This picture's original title was the oddly spelled Full Trivia >>
